More model informationThis 4-knobbed carved stone ball was found in a field between New Scone and Murrayshall, Perthshire, Scotland in the early 19th century and donated to Perth Museum in 1832. It dates from the late Neolithic (c.3100-2500 BC) and is an exceptionally highly decorated example. Three knobs exhibits a lattice of incised lines, while the fourth knob exhibits five parallel incised lines. Dots are also present in one of the spaces between the knobs.
